DOES SPRINGROOT ACCEPT MY INSURANCE?
Currently, the practitioners at SpringRoot are not in any networks. Insurance coverage for Acupuncture can widely vary, not just between companies, but also within the different plans. One solution that we offer is Community-style Acupuncture which, for the cost of an average copay, makes Acupuncture accessible to everyone. However, if you know that your insurance does have coverage for Acupuncture, we are happy to provide you with a coded receipt that you can submit for reimbursement.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY APPOINTMENT?
For Community Acupuncture, please wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows us to access at minimum up to your knees and elbows. If you are coming for shoulder pain, please bring or wear a tank top. You may also bring clothes to change into if you prefer.
SHOULD I EAT BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?
It is ideal not to come on an empty stomach or very full stomach. Please have a light meal or snack prior to your visit. If you are diabetic or prone to hypoglycemia, please bring a snack or juice to the clinic with you to have on hand. In rare instances, blood sugar can drop during or after receiving Acupuncture.
IS COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE STILL A PRIVATE EXPERIENCE?
Even though Community visits are in one large room, potentially with others present, there is still a sense of privacy and quiet. It is a meditative environment. You may request that your intake or check in be done in a separate treatment room if you wish to feel more private.
WHAT IF I DON'T SEE AN APPOINTMENT TIME THAT WORKS FOR MY SCHEDULE?
If you do not see an available appointment time in our online scheduler that works for you, please do not hesitate to contact us at 203-266-9088 or Rachel@springrootacupuncture.com and we will do our best to find availability for you.
